Hungry Slinky

April 25, 2022  •  Leave a Comment
I had a lot of fun with this nylon slinky. In a series of pics he slowly evolved until he became the Hungry Slinky. Once he satisfied his hunger, he left town on the Slinky Express (no COVID theme there). The photo hung in the Outside-The-Box Exhibit in Oxford, PA in February 2022, and then was juried into the 12th Annual Joseph Miller Abstract Pho...

The Joker

This is the appropriate photo to close out 2021. Here is the back story. I shot this on an Ocean City bus in the summer of 2021. The background is the divider from the lower to upper portion of the bus. This crazy guy with the Joker mask (we had to wear masks on the city bus) gets on the bus and he agrees to allow me to shoot his portrait. I liked...

In a continuing effort to provide a collection of my photos for family and friends, I again self published a collection of some of my photos from the past year. I titled the 2021 collection - New Normal 2021. I am trying to move away from the COVID theme that has permeated my blog, but the damn virus just won't go away. With any luck we may have t...

My photo of Coastal HWY at Dusk was selected as one of the top 40 photos of 2021. Bright Barn

July 20, 2021  •  Leave a Comment
We are not sure what the New Normal means, but it seems to represent a change (like a Bright Barn) from the old normal. This photo was juried into the Black Box online gallery under the theme of Color Burst, and will hang in the Jones Gallery in Kansas City in August. If Bright Barns start popping up across the mid-west, I am taking credit and clai...

The Opera House

July 07, 2021  •  Leave a Comment
People are acting like the "New Normal" is here with 60% of US adult having at least one vax shot and another 33 million having had COVID. But the new Delta variant is spreading like crazy, and foreign travel is still difficult. My Opera House picture, from our last trip overseas, was juried into a Monochrome group exhibit for July 2021 at the 311...

In Tight Formation

April 22, 2021  •  Leave a Comment
On a cold day, I caught a shot of snow geese making their annual migration. Their annual flight pattern represents the changing of the season. As the vaccine roll out continues, humanity is also experiencing a changing of the seasons - no one is clapping yet as the final out come is still uncertain.
