Over the early winter months of 2022, I experimented with some abstract photos. This photo was the result being at my desk late one night, and noticing how the single light in the room was reflecting off an unsigned contract I was about to throw in the trash. I began to play with the contract by rolling several pages and tying them together. I shot some photos of the paper bundle using a single LED flashlight as my light source. I liked this photo the best. After the photo session, I threw out the unsigned contract, but I kept this photo of "Used Words." It was juried into Praxis Gallery's Abstract Exhibit for June 2022, and will also hang at the ViewPoint Gallery in Canada in September 2022. I joke that it needs to hang in every corporate boardroom in North America. Patrons are buying.
